Heating & plumbing in Botley
Botley sits between Hedge End and the Waltham villages, and it’s on a route we’re driving most weeks anyway. Regular coverage, no travel surcharge, and generally easy to book in quickly.
Old village, new estates, one engineer
Botley is a place of two halves for anyone working on heating. There’s the old village — the square, the mill, the properties around them, some centuries old and none designed with a condensing boiler in mind — and then there’s the very substantial modern development that has gone up around Boorley Green and along the roads toward Hedge End.
Older village property tends to need care with flue routing and honest conversations about heat loss. The newer estates are the opposite problem: everything is neat and standardised, which is fine until you discover the original developer’s boiler sits in a cupboard that a modern replacement won’t fit into without moving something. Both are perfectly doable. They just need surveying rather than guessing.
Because we’re a two-man firm, the same person sees your house, prices the job, orders the parts and does the work. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson and a fitter, because there isn’t one.
